Many use the term "Fire Opal" to describe a particularly vibrant and colourful white opal, however as the photographs show this is completely inaccurate.

True Fire Opals are a wonderful fiery orange colour and contain none of the milky cloudiness of their white counterparts. They are very rare and highly sought after stones and the best examples command a high price.

This particular example measures approximately 6 x 4mm and is set between two pretty Brilliant Cut White Diamonds which have a total weight of .10 carats.

The shank and setting are stamped 9 Carat Yellow Gold.
