Description
A
truly remarkable piece. The scarcity of good quality Georgian
pieces is what makes them so much more attractive, and this
item is so typical of Georgian style and workmanship it would
make a charming addition to anyone’s jewellery box.
It
is thought to have begun life as a Georgian necklet clasp,
which was later converted into a ring. It
is impossible to tell exactly when this incredibly sympathetic
conversion took place but judging by the composition it is
thought to be no later than the 19th Century.
It
features a central rectangular foil back Citrine
surrounded by seed pearls and set in Rose Gold.
The shoulders are split and the shank reeded although due
to its great age no hallmark remains.
It is a UK size M, US approx 6.5
Price:
£480.00 (approx $800.00 USD)
