real quality piece, this lovely Late Victorian
Brooch boasts beautiful proportions, fine engraving and delicate
Turquoise set decoration to the front.
The
main Oval is extremely slim, yet of such high quality
that it houses a glass compartment to the inside which would
have originally been intended for a photograph or lock of
hair. The reverse of the oval features intricate engraving
which matches the circular pin suspender.
It is unmarked yet appears to be of high carat gold
(guaranteed no lower than 9ct but suspected to be 18ct.) In
excellent condition, in total it measures 5cm in length and
the locket measures 2.5cm x 2cm.
