This piece has all the style and quality of a Georgian piece, yet was probably manufactured within the last decade. Everything about it screams early 19th Century, from the sumptuous foil backed Orange Sapphire and closed back setting to the floral design work on the shoulders.

It is an incredibly elegant piece, nicely constructed and designed. The Sapphire is a real attention grabber, yet the foil backing affords it the subtlety a genuine Georgian piece would possess. It measures 10mm x 8mm and is surrounded by approximately 1/2 Carat of Old Cut Diamonds which also decorate the open work on the shoulders. These are all set in Silver (as was customary before the 20th Century) and backed in Gold with an unmarked Gold shank.

This really does pay homage to a bygone era, and due to it's fairly recent manufacture it is in excellent condition. The fact that it is not a genuine 19th Century piece also means it's value is purely intrinsic, as a genuine Georgian piece of this nature would cost considerably more.
