A superb quality piece, set with stunning deep red Rubies and Old European Cut Diamonds of approximately VS clarity and H colour.

The highly scrolled setting is typical of the late 19th Century although the shank is a later substitution. It's not uncommon for a shank to wear through and require replacement, however this is such a large size it's likely that the shank was replaced as the original was unable to increase in size by such an amount. This particular replacement has been carried out sympathetically and does make it a more wearable item although it does obviously affect the value a little and therefore the price.

The head and setting are in excellent condition with no obvious repairs and each of the large stones are interspaced by tiny Rose Cut Diamonds for added sparkle (if any were
needed!)

A remarkable piece, the diamonds weigh approximately .50 Carats each. The two end Rubies are approximately .45 Carats each whilst the central Ruby weighs .60 Carats approx

It is a UK size U 1/2, US approx 11.25
