Description
Usually
referred to as a “boat shape”
ring, this design was very popular in both the Victorian and
Edwardian eras and many rings of this style were produced
over the time. Surviving examples vary greatly in both quality
and condition; this particular piece is lucky in both respects.
The
Emeralds are a gorgeous grass green colour
and are interspaced by pairs of Rose Cut Diamonds.
The 18 Carat Gold shoulders are elegantly
scrolled and the inside of the shank bears the hallmark for
Birmingham, 1907.
It
remains in superb condition and has obviously been a cherished
item.
It is a UK size N 1/2, US approx 7.25
