Tasteful Early 20th Century Solitaire Diamond Ring. Ref:aslc456
Tasteful Early 20th Century Solitaire Diamond Ring

Description

Featuring a lovely Old Brilliant Cut Diamond of approximately .40 Carats in a high quality square setting, of which each corner is decorated with a tiny Fleur de Lys showing great attention to detail.

The setting terminates in diamond encrusted split shoulders and is believed to be Platinum whilst the shank is 18 Carat yellow gold; the latter was replaced in 1993, presumably as the old shank wore too thin. Only the hallmark bears testament to this alteration as the job was clearly carried out by a skilled specialist. There are no signs of repair and the new shank grades gently into the original tapered shoulders.

The entire piece is very good quality, we have graded the diamond at approximately J colour and SI clarity as under 10x magnification there is one tiny carbon spot which is difficult to find and impossible to see with the naked eye. The diamond is otherwise beautifully clean but obviously the spot has to be taken into account.

This came to us together with another ring (aslc455) and both had been treasured for many years.

It is a UK size N, US approx 7.

Price: £1,095.00 (approx $1,640.00 USD)
