Super quality five stone Old European Cut Diamond ring dating from the first quarter of the 20th Century.

In perfect condition the diamonds are set in 18 Carat Gold and have a total weight of approximately 1 carat (spread).

Typical of Old European Cuts they feature wonderfully heavy crowns, making their actual (unset) weight greater than that of modern brilliants although the spread/diameter measurement is the same.

Each diamond is unique in cut as the technology was not available at this time to create a standard "ideal," however this is the charm of Old Cut Diamonds, as each is completely individual under close inspection. The Diamonds clarity gradings range from VS to P1, which means that there are inclusions visible (but with difficulty) in some of the diamonds. In the VS graded Diamonds the inclusions are difficult to find even under strong magnification.

The colour has been graded J-K.

It is a UK size N, US approx 7.5.
