Description
This
Brooch is a typical product of the Arts & Crafts
Movement, and more notably the effect this movement
had on pottery.
Ruskin
Pottery, established in Birmingham, England in 1898
focused heavily on the philosophies of John Ruskin (the companies
namesake) and thus came to produce coloured plaques which
were then set into Silver or as in this case Pewter
and worn as jewellery.
Like many, this particular piece has a hammered finish
and bears the trademark stamp to the reverse.
It
measures just over 1.5" square.
Price:
£99.50 (approx $180.00 USD)
