Description
Highly
influential to the Art Nouveau movement,
Murrle-Bennet & Co was founded in 1884
and specialised in high quality, low priced silver and gold
jewellery; some of which was sold through the famous London
Jewellers, Liberty & Co.
This
piece is typical of Art Nouveau jewellery and is Circa
1900. Extremely well made, even by Murrle-Bennett's
very high standards it is mounted in rare 15 Carat
Gold (English Gold, the production of which ceased
in 1932) and boasts a gorgeous round Opal and scintillating
Peridots.
The
reverse bears the MB&Co signature plaque
and a 15 carat plaque below.
It
remains in perfect flawless condition and
is not only a collectable piece but is also very wearable.
The exquisite design together with superior quality manufacture
is really indicative of MB&Co and are what make this beautiful
piece a very collectable item.
It
measures 1.5" in length.
