Detailed Victorian Brooch, hallmarked in Birmingham, UK in 1889 and set in 15 Carat Gold.

Beautifully crafted, it features a sentimental/memorial compartment to the reverse and Gold wire work to the front which the Victorians were renown for. The ability of their craftsmen to create minutely detailed patterns and designs with the thinnest of Gold wire is well documented and the front of this brooch bears witness to that ability.

The overall condition of the brooch is superb, with no dinks of dents and the seven Seed Pearls set to the front remain wonderfully lustrous.

It measures 1.5" in length.
