Featuring
a central Gold panel decorated with delicate Seed
Pearls this stunning Antique Blue Guilloche
Enamel Necklace is set in highly prized 15
Carat Gold which was produced in the UK between 1835
and 1935.
To the reverse is a
glass panel intended to house a photograph of a loved one,
and a delicate Seed Pearl is suspended from the bottom.
Unlike
many pendants of this type, this has retained it's original
integral chain which is also decorated with a Seed
Pearl.
As
with most enamel pieces there are a couple of tiny chips (visible
in main photograph) but they do not detract from the piece
which is incredibly eye catching when worn. I must admit I
own a piece very similar to this and it never fails to illicit
complimentary comments when I wear it. They really are fabulous
items.
The
pendant itself measures approx 1" in diameter.
NOTE:
Guilloche Enamel entails engraving a Gold or Silver base and
then painting enamel over the top to create an almost 3D effect.
Earlier pieces were hand engraved whilst pieces such as this
feature engine turned decoration which allows
for an even pattern.
