Sumptuous 1830's Diamond & Enamel Pendant/Brooch. Ref:aslc211
Early 19th Century 2.3 Carat Diamond Pendant Brooch

Description

Unique 2.3 Carat Diamond Brooch (with later discreet Pendant bail) dating from the 1830's, and one of the highest quality pieces we have ever showcased.

Set in 15 Carat Gold (tested) and featuring delicate Blue Enamelled accents and 33 Rose Cut Diamonds it is a remarkable and utterly unique item, which epitomises the exceptional quality of Antique pieces.

The swirl effect Blue enamel is in wonderful condition and almost gives the impression of a catherine wheel. To the reverse is a framed glass window within which a small photograph or momento could be kept.

The Diamonds are exceptional, varying in clarity from VVS to SI and an approximate colour grade H, and all traditionally set in Silver. This technique was common during the 19th Century, before the availability of Platinum and the use of White Gold.

The condition of the piece is perfect, with the original brooch fitting to the reverse and a later sympathetic and discreet bale which, when not in use drops out of sight and is effectively concealed. A true one of a kind piece.

It measures 1" (24mm) in diameter.

Price: £1,750.00 (approx $3,030.00 USD)
